LTI Korea organized a promotional event for poet Kim Huran at The University of Hong Kong (HKU) as part of the “Festive Korea” October fest organized by the Consulate General of the Republic of Korea in Hong Kong. Around fifty people gathered at the venue to listen to Kim Huran’s lecture on the topic “Literature and The Warmhearted Family.” Kim focused on how literature, especially poetry, could be a source of healing in our gritty lives. She also recited poems from her books Family and Warmhearted Family. This year marks the fifth iteration of the annual “Festive Korea” October fest, held by the Korean consulate in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, and the Home Affairs Bureau of the Government of Hong Kong SAR. The festival, which runs from October 6 to the last week of November, features a panoply of Korean cultural events, including K-pop, traditional dance, movie screenings, music concerts and traditional performances.
